Getting Started
Follow the actual template package manager and installation steps.
Before You Start
Obtain access, Git, a Node.js version supported by the selected Next.js repository and its package manager. Templates are independent repositories, not engineering monorepo folders.
Most inspected templates pin [email protected]; Quire pins [email protected]; Zeus has no packageManager field. Read the actual package.json and README.
Start a Template
For Hikari, after authorization:
git clone https://github.com/musemvp/hikari.git
cd hikari
pnpm install
pnpm devReplace Hikari with the selected repository. Copy .env.example only when its README requires it; Kanna differs from Hikari and Solis. Do not assume common environment variables.
Quire runs prepare during installation to assemble assets. If assets are missing, inspect its README and scripts/assemble-assets.mjs, then use pnpm assemble. Do not skip lifecycle scripts without checking consequences.
Check Your Result
Open the terminal URL, normally http://localhost:3000. Check homepage, images, navigation and included content pages. Run pnpm typecheck and pnpm build before deployment.
Common Problems
Port occupied: stop the other app. Package mismatch: use the repository's version. Missing assets: check install scripts, especially Quire. Presentational login is not real authentication; do not run engineering database or billing initialization.
