Liveblocks is a developer-first platform that provides ready-made, fully customizable real-time collaboration and AI-enabled features (such as AI copilots, comments, multiplayer editing, presence indicators, notifications) that you can embed into your product with just a few lines of code. It handles the underlying WebSocket infrastructure, data sync, hosting, scaling, security, and provides SDKs/packages for popular frameworks (e.g. React, Node.js, Yjs, Redux, Zustand) so developers don’t need to build and maintain complex real-time collaboration backend themselves. Liveblocks supports collaborative text editors, whiteboards, creative tools, comment systems, real-time presence, and generally any multiplayer experience inside web apps.

Steven Fabre is co-founder & CEO of Liveblocks. He previously created Easee (a web animation tool acquired by InVision) and has worked on design systems at Meta and InVision. Together with engineer Guillaume Salles, they founded Liveblocks in 2021 to build a real-time collaboration backend as a service.
